OBX: The Ocean

Ty was all about the ocean this year. Not too many reservations about jumping right in this year (except after he had to "save" Grandpa after a big wave took them both out). He loved jumping the waves at the shore and would ask Grandpa to take him to the "blue" aka: before the waves break.

It was so fun to watch Ty play in the waves with the rest of the boys.

Carter loved them too, as long as he was being held.

Me? Not too much of a fan after Keith's brother and dad spotted a shark swimming in and out of swimmers knee deep. I know, total wuss!

Our Newest Toy

So, the latest craze in the Bielozer household (and our families).....a web cam.


Whitney and Travis convinced us to get one and we love it! So much that we convinced some of Keith's family to get one. The boys think it is great to talk to their aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents on the computer while seeing them! I recommend it for anyone who has family out of town.


Last Sunday we discovered Whitney's program had all these "artistic" options for our image. We spent hours taking funny pictures and laughing hystarically. So, the other day while Ty and I were talking to Aunt Shell, we decided to see what ours could do. We didn't have as many options as Aunt Whitney, but we had fun making silly faces.









Every family needs one of these!

We're home!

Back from the Outer Banks--so fun and much more relaxing than Disney. MANY pictures to come (we took over 800)!

Went to church today and then over my parents for dinner. Ty learned the song "Love is Spoken Here" today in primary (Sunday School) and has been making sure we are speaking "love" to eachother--such a sweet boy.

Because I started this blog in part as a family journal, I have to quickly include these funny "Ty-isms" for the record:

Today he was upset that we told him there was not time to watch a movie tonight after dinner. We told him we could watch it tomorrow. He told us it was not a good idea and he was mad at us and was going to "throw us in the garbage."

On the way home from church today, I was telling him how good he has been lately. I said it must be because four year olds are good. He agreed and added "and handsome, sweet, cool and awesome."

The Fourth of July

We had a cookout at our house on the fourth with family and some of our good friends. It turned out to be a great day--so glad everyone could make it. Here's Carter with his new best friend, Brian. Pool guy was bossed around by a 1 1/2 year old all day.

Of course I had to take our annual "flag shirt" picture. Carter was a total ham for the camera.

Fireworks

Fireworks were Tuesday night here. Whitney, Travis (he came in town for the week) and Grandma Noll met us at the park to watch.

Fireworks wouldn't be complete without glow sticks and necklaces.

Carter loved the fireworks at first, but ended up spending most of the show like this:

When they were over we headed home for a "campout." We set the tent up in the backyard--the boys thought it was the greatest thing ever!!!!

Uncle Chuck's Annual Picnic

Ever since we were married we have spent the Fourth of July (or some part of the holiday weekend) at Keith's Uncle Chuck's. So, Sunday after church we headed over there.

Crocker Park Freedom Festival

Slowly, but surely, catching up....

The Saturday before the 4th, Keith had to work and then played in a football tournament all day, so Whitney and I took the boys up to Crocker Park's Freedom Festival. Ty was estatic (I think he might like Crocker Park more than Christmas)! Every 4th the open-air mall has entertainment and rides all weekend. Ty and Carter couldn't wait to wear their annual flag shirts and hit the streets!

Thanks to mine and Keith's wonderful sisters (Michelle and Whitney), Keith and I were able to escape that night to the Indian's game. We had louge seats which equals LOTS of free food (and dessert!!!). It was a great game again too!

Independence Day

Tim sang this song last night at his concert and I loved it! I have friends who have served in the Middle East, friends who's husbands are there now and friends who have lost loved ones there and I'm so grateful for them all. We are so blessed to live in America and I'm grateful there are men and women willing to fight for our freedom.

Enjoy your Independence Day and be grateful to those who gave us our Indepedence.

Tim McGraw

Sorry Keith, I have a crush on another man...Tim McGraw. Stephanie got tickets to the Faith Hill/Tim McGraw Soul2Soul II concert and she took me---Yea!!! It was so fun! Faith did great, but Tim was awesome (and very sexy I might add!) I think this years concert was better than last!! It was Stephanie's first concert--I hope it was fun.

Swimming Lessons

Swimming lessons ended yesterday. I finally remembered to bring my camera on the last day! Most of them are taken through a window (the parents watch from outside the pool area) so they are not the best quality.

Indians Game

So I promise I'm getting to the birthday party pictures and will one day be caught up, but Keith just emailed these to me and I had to post.

Last Wednesday (yes, I'm still a week behind) Keith got awesome tickets to the Indians game. We decided to be brave and take the two boys. It was great! The seats were second row behind the Indians dug out. Carter and Ty had a blast! They cheered and danced (and ate, of course). Garko (an Indians player) even threw Ty a ball he was practicing with. It ended up being a really exciting game and we stayed way longer than we thought we could. I was so mad I forgot my camera, because the boys were extra cute. Keith took these couple on his phone, so they are not the greatest quality, but still cute.
