Second Day in Florida: Typhoon Lagoon

The morning of our second day in Florida Keith and I headed over to Typhoon Lagoon with the kiddos.

The view there was perfect:

As soon as we got there Paige wasted no time getting to work in the sand.

Ty was so sweet with Paige, helping her on all the slides.

The boys LOVE water slides and rode everyone at the park, except one!

We long debated before we left for Florida which Disney waterpark we would do this year, Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach. Swimming with the sharks was the deciding factor. The boys and Paige had been talking about it for weeks. Here is Ty waiting in line:

Paige stepped in and immediately told us she didn't like it. Surprise.

He still talked crap after though.

Our first character of the trip, on our way out. It was so sweet, Paige looked up at him in awe and said, "I love you," in the sweetest little voice. Her love lasted until Stitch decided to give her a hug after and she frieked!!

First Day in Florida!!!

We had a wonderful time on our trip to Florida with some of Keith's family!!! Beautiful weather, lots of fun things to do and great company to share it with!

We spent the first day just hanging out at the pool and getting situated. (Remember, the main purpose of this blog is to be a record/journal for my family, so be prepared for picture overload!)

Nothing completes a day at the pool like an ice cream sundae party! The resort has one every day at 3pm!

Of all the pools and things to do at our resort, this is where you could find us most of the time. The kids played for hours on the pirate ship (a favorite every trip)!

When the boys weren't on the pirate ship they were snorkling. Carter is now a pro swimmer, just like his brother!

Even Grandpa had fun on the pirate ship!

The bigger slide at the other pool was a hit too.

The giant splash pad/playground kept us busy too!

Easter Sunday

Happy Easter, from our family to yours!

The kids wanted to line up, just like they do on Christmas. Paige was sporting her usual morning do. We call it her "crazy hair."

They each found their easter baskets from the Easter Bunny. Carter was the last to find his and was convinced the Easter Bunny forgot about him!

Can you say OBSESSED with lipgloss?!? Thank you Easter Bunny!

We started a new family tradition a year or two ago with these Resurrection Rolls. I love the way they remind us of why we are celebrating Easter and they are delicious too! I found the recipe on Smashed Peas and Carrots blog. The idea is you wrap a marshmallow in a crescant roll and then after you cook them it's empty...get it?

It wouldn't be Easter morning with out the rolling of the egs.

With 11am church, we had time for some family pictures before leaving. I love this picture!

After church, our first stop was Grandma Puppy's (keith's parent's) house. Keith's mom always does a big egg hunt for all the grandkids. The boys were too busy with their cousins to be bothered with pictures, so all I have is Paige.

Next stop was my parents house for a Easter egg scavanger hunt, cool new summer clothes, a delicious meal and some fun relay games. I didn't take many pictures, but I will have to post videos soon.

Another wonderful Easter. I am so grateful for my Savior and the sacrifice he made for me! I am grateful for the atonement and the gift of the resurrection and the knowledge that I can live with my family forever!

Easter Eggs and Other Fun Treats

We had fun dying our Easter eggs Saturday before Easter. Nothing fancy, just good old-fashioned tablets and vinegar, although I'm still want to try them with silk ties (here) or onion skins (here).

Saturday morning the kids and I went to my mom's while Keith was at the shooting range and we colored her eggs and made these fun oreo pops for our cousins.
