Superbowl Champions!!

Ty's football team had an amazing season this year!!! His team was undefeated for the season, with only 19 points scored on them during the regular season.

For the championship game, they got to play at the highschool stadium under the lights. It was so exciting for them. Making it even more exciting, they won the game in the last 30 seconds!!!

It was a full day of excitment, starting with a team "pep rally" at Ty's teammate's and our neighbor's house, the Moreschi's. We had a babysitter for Paige during the game since it was so cold and late, but she was thrilled to go to the pre-party and help the cheerleaders decorate all the cars.

When we arrived at the highschool the boys were able to go in the locker room for a pre-game pep talk:

When the coach was done with his speech he turned the time over to the boys to each say something. The first two boys passed, not knowing what to say. Ty was third. He was so cute, the first to say something, said, "Do your best and don't give up." Good advice Ty guy.

Carter is in heaven with these boys. Attending every practice and team function, the boys on the team quickly labeled Carter their team mascot and including him in everything they did.

Their cheerleaders made banners for each team member to run through. Ty loved it, unfortunately we didn't get any pictures.

Ty played great defense this season. He is a really smart player, he knows where he needs to be.

The boys definitely made the game exciting for us. We scored the first touchdown in the first quarter. Then this was the score the fourth quarter, with only 34.2 seconds left. We had the ball (despite what the scoreboard says).

And this was the final score! They kept us on our feet in the stands, the other team almost scored with 3 seconds left, but the boys stopped them in the end!

Trick or Treat

Since we moved into our house, our family tradition has been to have the Ashtons and my family over and eat soup/chili in Panera bread bowls and pumpkin cookies and apple cider before going out to trick-or-treat. This year we decided to share our tradition and invite the neighbors to join us. Each family brought a crockpot of soup or chili to share, making for a lot of yummy food!

Paige was hilarious this year. She insisted on carrying this LITTLE purse for her candy and took the time to zip it up between each house. So funny!

Those left behind to hand out candy stayed warm by the fire.

Carrying on the tradition of my childhood (and probably everyone else's too), the boys couldn't wait to dump their stash on the living room floor and sort out their loot.
