Utah Trip: Day 2

Monday we took all the kids to a great dinosaur museum, but while we were waiting for everyone to get ready, we had to snap some pictures of these two little friends/cousins. Bree loved having Paige around to play with and Paige loved all the attention!



We met my mom's best friend from high school and her daughters at the museum. It was so fun to see them again and laugh at our moms.

Utah Trip: Day 1

I treated the kids and I to a trip to Utah and Idaho for my 30th birthday and it was the best present ever! We traveled with my mom to visit family and see my sister's new house. The kids and I stayed at my cousin/best friend/college roommate/partner-in-crime, Kecia's house with her family. Kecia and I roomed together in college (until she up and got married) and we were pretty much inseperable during those years. We were known as "K&A" and were a package deal for the most part. We had some of the very best times together those years and still love to get together! I just wish is was more than once a year!!

Be prepared for many pictures to come, because I don't know how to take just one of any event.

The first full day there, my cousin was leaving for a church mission to Brazil, so we got together with LOTS of extended family to celebrate and wish her farewell. The boys absolutely LOVED being with all these new cousins.

Carter was in heaven wrestling with his new "buddies," Brett and Jess.

Ty was in heaven playing Rockband all day. He has completely masterd "Dead or Alive" now.

Snowed In

Woke up to LOTS of snow this morning and of course, no school! After playing in the snow and using our new snow blower (SO fun!)...

...we headed over to my friend's Stephanie's house to pass the time with the some of my cute neighbors. Here are some of the girls scrapbooking:

Seven Months with Bear

I know these aren't the pictures you are waiting for, Whitney, but if I didn't post these first I'd be posting them with her eight month pictures. Pictures from the trip are coming, I promise....but for now:

I can't believe this little girl is seven months (I know, almost eight months now)! She is developing such a personality: so smiley and always laughing her silly laugh. She wants so desperately to just go, I'm sure it's just a matter of time before she does. This month she tried her first finger food (she gives me the funniest look when it's in her mouth), took her first plane trip across the country and met many cousins for the first time.

Kalahari 2009

My parents took the family to Kalahari (an awesome indoor waterpark) for the past two days for one of our Christmas presents. We had so much fun swimming, sliding, playing, eating, laughing with family, dancing, putt-putting and so much more. Thanks so much Mom and Dad.


With three kids to watch and hold and poor lighting, Keith and I didn't take many pictures. We just enjoyed ourselves and let everyone else do the picture taking. Here is a little of what we captured. I'm hoping to get everyone else's pictures, so your bound to see more on here soon...

Iceskating

I had no battery in my camera at the New Year's Eve party, I forgot my camera New Years Day at Keith's parents and didn't take any pictures at the dinner party Friday night, but I did remember the camera for Ty and Carter's first iceskating outing Friday day!

Ty has been asking to go iceskating (actually to play hockey) forever now, so I promised him we would go over Christmas break. They did great! It was a little touch and go at first with some almost tears, but by the end neither of them needed the cones to help them.

Carter got the hang of it in the end (with a little snack bribe), but loved riding on the cones the best.

New Lense

I am so excited about my new lense I got for Christmas! Unfortunately, with all the holiday events I haven't had a chance to play around with it. I finally put it on the camera today and this was my first shot--can't wait to play more!!!
