Golfing

Keith told Ty he would take him golfing soon, so for the last week Ty has asked every day when they were going. Saturday FINALLY arrived and Keith took both the boys to my dad's course. They had so much fun and Keith said Ty did awesome!

Ty was so cute Saturday morning. When he woke up he came into my room and whispered into my ear (yes, I was still in bed), "Mom, can you help me pick out a good golf outfit?" So cute! He was so excited for this special day with Dad!

High School Friends

This weekend we had a chance to get together with some old highschool friends for dinner at our house. Ted was in town with his wife, Chrystal and their new baby, Anna, and Kevin and his wife, Jackie came too. We hadn't seen either couple for awhile, so it was fun to see them all and especially fun to meet the new baby. Keith and I are so excited that some of our highschool friends are finally joining us in parenthood!

Here are the boys after an impromptu batting competition. No, no one made it over the lake and there are many tennis balls now floating in the water, but they had fun trying.

Night At The Races

Last weekend Keith and I took the kids to the horseraces for the first time. We used to go when we were dating, but hadn't been back for awhile. Great idea, Keith! The boys LOVED it. It was a beautiful day and we ate dinner outside and then watched some of the races. Carter could hardly control how excited he was everytime he saw a horse. He waved hi to all the horses and Ty loved cheering for his horse ("his horse" constantly changed to which one was in the lead).

Ladies and Gentlemen...

...we have ourselves a swimmer! The boys just finished up swimming lessons last week and they did great. Ty is swimming so well. He can make it across the pool and treads water for close to a minute. He also did great on his back. We are so proud of him.

Carter had a great time in his class too and is doing great blowing bubbles and kicking.

Summer Days

Today was one of those summer days that defines summer for kids. Busy with nothing but water and sun!

First, swimming lessons started this week. Ty is doing great and loves taking class with his friends. Carter hasn't decided if he likes class or not. Today he wasn't as worried about mom and had fun with his class. (Little worried about preschool this fall...)


Next, off to a mommy and me class we joined with our neighbors and friends, Ashley and Kaley.

We topped off the afternoon with a picnic in the park and playing at the Splash Zone.

This is what Paige did most the day. (No wonder, she only slept three and a half hours last night!)

What a perfect summer day!

Playing Catch Up

It hasn't been as easy lately to find time to blog, but I'm trying hard to play catch up. I post dated them all so they will be in chronilogical order when I blurb them, so if your interested in what we did the week before Paige arrived, or Ty's last soccer game, or Safetyville--feel free to check it out. One Month With Bear

Hard to believe one month has gone by already! Here's Paige's one month picture with bear. She has changed so much already.

Yes, that is a binki you see in her mouth. We've finally found one she likes (sort of). I had to buy one of every brand in the store to find one she would accept (I can't believe I have a baby that didn't like the Nuk)! That's my high matainance girl for you!
