Back From Vacation: Day 1

We are back from our vacation to the Smokey Mountains and along with unpacking and doing laundry, I'm trying to sort through the 100's of pictures we took.

Day 1: On our drive down to the Smokies we met up with Keith's sister and family in Knoxville and let the kids cool of in this fun park downtown on the river.

Hiking Ohio Style

We finished off Memorial Weekend hiking with Keith's brother, Kevin's, family. It was a beautiful day, beautiful scenery and great company.

Thomas the Tank

Nothing like blogging memorial weekend in July...

Keith's dad got us tickets to ride on Thomas the Tank when he was in town Memorial Weekend. Being a train fan, Carter was all about this!

It's Not Just About The Princess...

My Ty guy had a birthday this month too. I can't believe my first little baby is now 7!

We decided it would be fun to have an outdoor movie night for his birthday party. Ty decided later that he wanted a sport theme party, so we incorporated the two.

We played volleyball, kick ball and ladder ball:

Ate pizza and other yummy food:

We picked "popcorn" for our movie/sport theme decorations:

Along with our "popcorn" cupcakes, we had to have mint chocolate chip icecream cake too! (Oh, and don't you love the birthday mohawk?)

The movie showing was a total hit! We played it in our front yard, projected onto our garage door. Everyone brought blankets, pillows, chairs and lovesacs (beanbags) to make it comfortable. To stay with the sport's theme, we watched one of Ty's favorites: Disney's Extreme Sport Fun.

The Favors: Plastic popcorn buckets filled with candy, glow sticks, straws and of course, silly bands!

The guests favorite? The concession stand we set up in the front, for the movie. Each guest was given tickets to purchase popcorn, rice krispie treats, red vines, candy dots and beverages from our concession stand:

Carter loved "working" the concession stand. For every ticket given to him he gave back atleast three in "change."

Paige's Nieghbor Party

All the girls on the street (aka: Paige's fan club) were excited watching me get together the things for Paige's birthday, so I invited them over the next day for cupcakes.

My boys made up a song for the birthday girl and performed for everyone.

Party Time

I know I have over a month of pictures to update. I have been way too busy with birthdays, weddings, visits with my sister and summer fun to blog, but it's back to the grind now.

First thing's first...everyone's asking me about the "Diva's" party, so here it is:
