1st Grade, Here He Comes!



First grade is always harder for me to see come than kindergarten.  I have a hard time giving up my kids for a full day! Its hard when they spend more awake time away from home than at home! I am really going to miss this guy and the special together time we had last year in the afternoons after school!  This is one smart and funny boy and he is going to do awesome in 1st grade!

 

New school shoes picked out all by himself, despite my tries to influence.

 

So happy that he catches the bus right next door with his buddy Brycen (who wasn't there on the first day because kindergarten didn't start until the next day).  Carter couldn't wait to get on the bus again!

When he got home home told me 1st grade was awesome!  His favorite part?  Lunch and recess, of course!

 

I gave the kids back to school interviews and these are a few of his answers:

9.  Least favorite food:  pickles

10.  Favorite game:  wii

11.  Favorite summer memory:  The frog in the swimming pool

12.  Three words to describe myself:  wild, crazy and fun (all very true!)
